Featured mala, hand mala, autumn jasper, 465

This mala is American made. It is constructed in a mindful, meditative manner with the traditional 27 beads, guru bead, and 2 marker beads. The beads are 8mm autumn jasper. This is a natural stone that comes in shades of autumn colors, orange, cream, green, pink, and cream. The marker beads are cherry quartz which is not a natural stone. It is glass dyed to look like quartz. These are accented with brass plate and base metal (lead free) spacers. The focal bead on this piece is fancy glass.  The tassel is imitation silk.   The beads are strung on hand knotted cotton and should resist breakage. If it should break within 6 months of purchase, the mala may be returned to me for re-stringing at no charge, buyer pays shipping.
Here is a little something about malas. As with many cultures, 3 is a special number as is the number 9. A full mala, 108 beads clearly shows the magic. It can be added 1+0+8=9, there are 4 sections of 27 beads. 2+7=9. Contained within the mala, the first marker is 27 beads, as before, added equals 9. Second marker contains 54 beads. 5+4= 9. Reach the 3rd marker and 81 beads have been counted, 8 +1=9. Count to the guru bead and you then have all 108. A hand mala has 27 beads. 2+7=9, 3 sections of 9 beads. It is a smaller version of the magic numbers.
